Lacombe FreshLacombe Fresh is a collective of Gull Valley Greenhouse and Doefs Greenhouse Gull Valley Located in Central Alberta, just south of Gull Lake, Their greenhouse is family-owned and operated greenhouse, run by Phil, Carolyn, Levi and Carmen Tiemstra. Gull Valley Greenhouses started out growing beef steak tomatoes, but the Tiemstras continue to diversify, now offering about a dozen different types of high-quality tomatoes. Doefs, located on the southeast side of Gull Lake, Doef’s Greenhouse specializes in greenhouse grown cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant. This family-run business has been providing Albertans with fresh, local products for over 40 years! |

Grace's Traditional FoodsIn 2018, Courtney purchased Grace’s Traditional Foods, a staple in the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market scene, from previous owners John and Grace who were ready for retirement. After months of apprenticing with them, Courtney converted an existing space near her home into a commercial kitchen and began production. Each week, small batches of sausage and pepperoni are made by hand, using local Alberta meat. The sausages are extra lean, made with natural casing and all the meat products are gluten free. |
